One of the surprises, which the “Iulen” Reserve offers to its visitors is the ancient fortress located in the Iulen place.

Some 17 km southeast of the town of Gotse Delchev and 3 km on foot in southern direction, near the small town of Hadjidimovo, are the ruins of a late antiquity and medieval fortress.

Traces from an early Christian and Medieval basilica and necropolis were discovered in the Shipotsko place, part of the Razlog hollow.

The “St. Iliya” church is part of the cultural and historical heritage of the Pirin village of Gradevo. The village is located some 10 km east of the town of Simitli, in the direction of Predel.

The “St. Panteleymon” Monastery is located in the Northern Pirin Mountain, near the village of Obidim. It is picturesquely situated between the Bezbojka (Godless) River and one of its left tributaries.

Ruins of a Thracian fortress, Thracian burial mounds and a Christian basilica were uncovered in the St. Nikola place.

The built in 1844 church has been declared a monument of culture of local significance.
