ABOUT THE ROUTE
Duration: 17 hours
The village of Dobrinishte is a starting point for the route. Dobrinishte is the most famous balneological resort in the Pirin Mountain. The village is located only at a distance of 6 km to the east of the town of Bansko. From ancient times it is famous with its mineral springs.
Hut Gotse Delchev (1600 m above sea level) is situated next to an asphalt road, 11 km away from the village of Dobrinishte. You can reach the hut by the diversion for the Monastery, which leads to the Balev’s bridge. Then you go respectively to the diversions for Dumatarsko, for Beludo, for the farm building, for Varetsa and reach the Fountain place. That is how you arrive at hut Gotse Delchev. It is situated in the place “Logovete” at 1500 m above sea level. The hut disposes of 36 beds. The bungalows, which are next to the hut, dispose of 70 beds. In the region there are also a hotel, food magazine, private villas and holiday houses. Over 130 houses, made of wood, were built around the hut.
After a short rest you continue respectively to the diversions above hut Gotse Delchev, for “Visokata ela” (The tall fir-tree), for the “Solishteto” place and reach the Tuzlata. From there you go to the diversion for the “Govedarnika” place and then to the diversion for hut Bezbog. Hut Bezbog or Godless is located by the northern end of the Bezbojkoto ezero lake, at 2236 m above sea level. From the bottom of the circus, where the lake is situated, it seems to be hard to climb to the Bezbog ridge but you will reach it just for half an hour. There you can enjoy the Bezbojko Lake as well as the enormous pyramids of the peaks of Orlovets, Bezimenen and Samodivski (Djengal). After that first climbing you continue along a large path, which lightly descends down to the valley in southern direction. After an hour of walking you will see the diversion for Popovo Lake and hut Pirin straight ahead, and the diversion for hut Demyanitsa to the right. You go first to hut Pirin and then by the diversion for Orlovets peak reach the Argirovo Lake and the place of Komitski chark. And you are already in hut Pirin. It is located in the Trite reki place, at 1640 m above sea level. There is a seasonal restaurant approximately 150 m away from the hut. The restaurant offers warm drinks and food. It also sells eatables.
In order to reach the place located below Petrova carkva and the town of Melnik you have to take the road for Popovo.
